Saturday 21 November 2026 · 15:00 – 17:00
Zaal Henry, Tweebronnen, Rijschoolstraat 4, 3000 Leuven
Presented by IndiRaga
About the afternoon
In Sanskrit, nakṣatra is the name for the star clusters that map the night sky. For one afternoon in Leuven, three dancers trace a constellation of their own: two voices of Bharatanatyam and one of Kathak and Indian folk, in conversation on a single stage.
The artists
Antonia Volodina – Bharatanatyam
Antonia brings precision and expressive storytelling to Bharatanatyam, the classical dance of Tamil Nadu.
Maya Sapera – Kathak / Indian folk
Maya moves between the spinning footwork of Kathak and the colour and energy of India’s folk traditions.
Nayanthara – Bharatanatyam
Nayanthara’s Bharatanatyam joins rhythmic clarity with abhinaya, the art of telling a story through expression.
